eBefore the exhaust system goes back, i have to do some modification on it,cause it was blowing at the joints, and it was touching the body in couple of places.
First of all i had to modify the joint to the manifold....i welded a new style flange on it and welded a flexi bit on the elbow, this will prevent the cracks or breaks on the pipe when the engine running and "shaking".

The coolant system filled up with antifreeze,no leaks anywhere,(that's how it should be :) ) new oil in the engine and gearbox, petrol in the carbs...ready for first start...
Fired up,running a bit rough,but sounds good...  :)
Carbs and ignition need adjusting, but no sign of any fluid leaks, exhaust isn't blowing...all good.

Toyota MR2 16V turbo arrived with suggested bent valve or big end bearing problem. She was knocking, but sounded to me not a typical big end problem. The customer decided he want to have her done as a showcar,so he want me to rebuild the engine, but paint all the parts,re-zinc all nuts and bolts and build them up.
Start with removing the engine and the box...

A Ford Consul MK1 arrived to the workshop from a customer. The vehicle is in a really good condition for her age,but she spent a long time in a dealership room from her life ,which is helped to keep herself in a good state.
She came for find out why she is running rough, and she is using some water (coolant) as well.
Suggested the head gasket fault,so after the compression test was done, i removed the cyl head.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Laszlo has performed the most amazing bare metal nuts and bolts restoration on my Jaguar XJS Lister. His talented ability to refabricate from scratch, metal panels that are no longer available has kept the project moving and at a very reasonable cost. It is rare to find a restorer who can weld, fabricate and also strip refurbish the engine and all of the mechanicals on the car."

"Top of the range work, can turn his hand to anything and everything is 110% perfect. - Mark Fruedenhauf, Cheshire UK'

"Laszlo did a great job on my Morris 1000, gave a reasonable quote, then booked in for some excellent fabrication work on basically a whole front end and door posts of my Morris and numerous other welding repairs at workshop - the car now rescued, looks original again. Looking at his other excellent work and projects, like the Jag and Issetta, my Morris was a walk in the park! If you need a restoration job doing then look no further than The Classic Mechanic - D. Haycock UK"
